Effective date: November 1, 2026 · Maintained by Ring Sizer

This policy describes the Ring Sizer website’s current behaviour. It covers the phone estimator, ring guide, number converter and PDF downloads. Questions about this notice can be sent to yelinxi888@gmail.com.

Camera and measurement information

Ring Sizer does not request camera or microphone access, capture photos or analyse a video stream. The on-screen tool uses guides that you adjust yourself. There is no camera image to upload or process.

Readings and conversions are calculated in your browser. The tool code does not send your finger-width readings, ring diameters or size results to a measurement service. Downloaded size cards are generated in the browser and saved to the destination you choose.

Device information and its purpose

To estimate display scale, the tool reads available browser information such as the user-agent string, screen width and height, device pixel ratio, viewport width, orientation and page scale. On supported Android browsers it asks User-Agent Client Hints for the model field. The browser may decline to supply it.

The model is matched against local profiles based on published panel specifications. Physical screen dimensions are calculated from those specifications; they are not directly measured or guaranteed by the browser. Device matching and screen consistency checks run locally. Read the measurement method for the limits of this approach.

What is saved in this browser?

Manual phone choice — localStorage
A confirmed manual phone selection can save its preset identifier and display configuration under ring-phone-profile-v1. Despite the key name, the current record uses version 2. This is not a camera image or an advertising identifier.
Optional ruler setup — sessionStorage
The ring-calibration key can retain the ruler scale and display configuration for the current browser session. Confirmed sizing results are not automatically restored.
Working readings — page memory
The current width, ring diameter and optional knuckle reading are used while you operate the page. They are not stored in a server-side measurement history.

Retention and deletion

localStorage remains until you clear this site’s data, the browser clears it or a later selection replaces it. sessionStorage normally lasts for the tab’s browsing session; browser restore features may retain it. Use your browser’s site-data settings to remove either record. Closing the page removes its ordinary working state, subject to the browser’s page/session restoration behaviour.

Saved PNGs and PDFs remain wherever you downloaded them until you delete them. Shared links and QR codes can include a method and reading in their URL. Anyone with such a link can read that value, and a page request containing it may appear in hosting logs. Removing local storage does not delete files or links you have already shared.

Cookies, hosting and other services

We use our self-hosted Umami service to count public page visits and fixed tool steps such as screen setup, confirming a result and downloading a PDF. It does not receive measurement values, ring sizes, selected phone profiles, form inputs, URL fragments or shared reading parameters. Only source, medium and campaign tags may be retained; referrers are reduced to their website origin. Browser language, ordinary browser headers and IP information reach our collector. Those headers may include device information supplied by the browser. Umami derives approximate country/city, browser, operating-system and broad device statistics from request information rather than saving raw IP addresses in its reports. We do not add the tool’s exact phone-model match to analytics payloads. The service runs through Cloudflare to our privately operated server. It sets no analytics cookies, and the site honours Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control. We have no automatic deletion schedule for these analytics records; privacy requests can be sent to the email below. We have added no advertising or marketing-cookie scripts. All fonts and tool libraries are served with the site. The tool’s own screen settings use localStorage and sessionStorage, which are different from cookies.

The hosting and security providers receive ordinary web requests and may process IP addresses, request URLs, browser headers and security cookies. We do not control every provider log or security-cookie retention period. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy and OpenAI’s privacy policy for their service practices. Links to external sizing references take you to websites governed by their own policies.

Email enquiries

If you email us, your address, message and any information you include are processed by the email service and used to address your enquiry. The site has no contact-form upload endpoint. We have not set an automatic deletion schedule for correspondence; you can request deletion by emailing the same address. We will assess the request and explain any information we cannot remove, including data held independently by a provider. We cannot delete someone else’s copies of a shared link or a file on your device.

Changes and contact

We will revise this page when the website’s data handling changes and update the effective date. This notice describes the implementation; it does not claim that the measurement method has been physically validated. Contact yelinxi888@gmail.com, or see the contact page for useful feedback details.
